August 6: Temptations
Ah, temptations... They are always lurking ready to pull us in, and in my case they have often succeeded.
As Oscar Wilde wrote in The Picture of Dorian Gray, “The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful.”
So, yes, I've surrendered to temptation, and it was always worth it, one way or another. I do have some restraint, and there are times I've even used it, but let's be honest, I often do what I want. I just choose my desires wisely, at least most of the time... ;)
