Father's Day

Listening to music this morning in the quiet I thought of you. Both tears of sadness and tears of joy. You gave so much to us. We miss you so much. A true artist I miss your insight and your love. We connected through nature and music and without you and Tim it's been so hard to connect. I have tried to meet others but my soul is damaged and I don't know if I'll ever get to a point where connections have meaning again. I know this is grief talking but it is the current temperature so it needs to be mentioned as such.
You. You took me camping from age three on. You played your guitar every night to us kids and wrapped us in soft cotton at night with stories of Pooh, and later Warriors from far off lands. We read all the classics and you introduced us to so many things. I miss your heart. I miss your mind. I miss your grace and patience. As a child you don't realize how lucky you are to have a parent like you, who stays, and fights, and comforts in times of pain. I was so very blessed to have a Father who loved me so very much. Who taught me to look for the good in people not the bad. To never judge another soul until I myself had walked in their shoes. Thank you for giving me faith, love, patience, kindness, intelligence, and empathy. Thank you for teaching me that people are people underneath it all. Music and Art connect us through all things. As does language. Don't let people divide you. It is what is happening today. "Divide and Conquer" has existed since the beginning. As my father wisely said "look for what connects us and go with that".
I love you Daddy. Thank you for having given me so much.
Thank you guys for the hearts <3
