Survival, a constant struggle
Attempt to fit pieces of a puzzle
And when you think you’ve got it figured out
Interrupted, you’re turned and tossed about

In this day and time you make do
Take what you have and turn it into
The world according to the way you need it
Unsatisfied, a cycle of survival repeated.

In anticipation of a swelling tide
You ride the wave until is subsides
Fall into the pool soon to disperse
Life’s forceful undertow pulls you in reverse

Every day you have to make do
