I Express Myself Through Writing

Full Circle

joferrarilyricist.com

Survival, a constant struggle
Attempt to fit pieces of a puzzle
And when you think you’ve got it figured out
Interrupted, you’re turned and tossed about

In this day and time you make do
Take what you have and turn it into
The world according to the way you need it
Unsatisfied, a cycle of survival repeated.

In anticipation of a swelling tide
You ride the wave until is subsides
Fall into the pool soon to disperse
Life’s forceful undertow pulls you in reverse

Every day you have to make do
Take what you have and turn it into
The world according to the way you need it
Unsatisfied, a cycle of survival repeated.
Once more, full circle, and all as you need it
Unsatisfied, a cycle of survival repeated.

I love your ways with words. *-*

@SapphicHeart One artist to another... I can easily say the same to you, my friend.
@bonviveur
I won't be half as gifted as you. But thanks for your flattering thoughts shared.

@SapphicHeart Untrue. Are you familiar with Joni Mitchell? You remind me of her. Your style and approach is simple, in theory, but so complex in the sentiment, content and delivery.

Try, just try, to deconstruct a song & lyric by Joni Mitchell. It's so difficult that even the most seasoned of artists and musicians have difficulty in replication, reinterpretation and breaking it down into simple form.

You're a master of imagery and expression. And you say it just flows from you. Not everyone has that ability (and also the courage) to capture those moments, give words to them, write them down and let them continue to flow... but you do.

Oomph. 😳 I do love Joni Mitchell but would never dare comparing myself to her. 😣

@SapphicHeart It's a matter of appreciation. I appreciate your work. Music, writing and art can be so simple and universal and so intricate and complicated. Think of cheese. Anyone can enjoy cheddar or Swiss, so universally and widely used and eaten... but it's when you enjoy or appreciate gorgonzola, butterkase, stilton and reblochon that you really begin to experience (and maybe even understand) the world of cheese.
@bonviveur
Now I'm hungry for cheese. Lol. Got your point. :-*
