@JoeXP No. They’re often bawdy, but it’s not required.
That said, what I wrote might not be considered a limerick because I didn’t follow the usual rhyme scheme. In a typical limerick, the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with one another, while the third and fourth lines share a different rhyme. I tried to make all of my lines rhyme because the writing prompt for the day is a five-line rhyme, which I interpreted to mean that all five lines should rhyme with one another.

I like to sing in tune and have never been drunk .. i once quit going to a church because someone there sang horribly out of tune and i couldn't take it 😳
