I express myself through writing

Granted it has been a while since I have written anything besides writing in my journal/diary. But when I do write I have done poetry and short stories. I wish to take it to the next level and write novels and full length books. I have a dream of being a creative writer and author. I desire to write collections of poetry, short stories, and novels/full length books especially fiction. I would like to write combinations of historical fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, realistic fiction, young adult fiction and fantasy, science fiction etc. all sorts of genres. In addition I would also like to occasionally switch and tell creative non-fiction too like biographies and writing about history and so on.
