Trying to get back in the flow of writing again. I had some help with this one, but I think the more you write, the easier it becomes to write more often.

Choose

Every yes
is a hundred quiet no’s
you’ll never speak aloud.

Every step forward
is a soft goodbye
to the roads you didn’t take,
to the hands you didn’t hold,
to the versions of yourself
you’ll never meet.

Choosing is an act of love -
to cradle one moment,
one person,
one life,
even while your heart aches
for the beauty
you didn’t or couldn’t choose.

And maybe the magic
is not in finding
the perfect choice,
but in loving
the one you made.
