Ghost Stories 2
I didn’t realize until I was home that you had slipped your
number into my pocket. I had so many thoughts. How stupid I was for getting on
that plane without searching for you. How my heart felt when I looked into your
eyes. We danced through the night, kissing under the audience of the moon and
stars. You took my hand and led me to something even better than my dreams.
I thought it was such a cruel twist of fate that you would
make me feel this way, that you would give me these feelings and then just run
away. I thought maybe your kiss was venom and not an embrace. I went through so
many thoughts and emotions on the flight home. My heart was filled with lust.
It wasn’t simply your beauty that stopped me, and it wasn’t just an accident
that turned into a fun night. There was a familiarity to this, to you, to your
kiss, something that stunned my heart, took all the breath from me, and made my
mouth water to taste every inch of your body.
It was the feeling of one impossible moment that went so
right. The full moon, the stars, the look on your face, and a smile that made
me feel like the game was over and you had caught me completely in your web to
do with me as you pleased. You couldn’t have known how I felt. There was just
no way you could have known. I was going crazy. It was just a night, nothing
more. I was probably just the lucky guy of the night. You couldn’t have chosen
me.
I think I got to a point where I accepted my fate. I
accepted what this was, that I had made a memory I would forever chase, and
that we both knew I would never catch it. It was in that moment of acceptance
that I found what you had left me.
I found a way to see you again, to hear you again, to dance
beneath the moon and stars, and to feel your embrace that I craved with every
fiber of my being. I knew now what this meant. I wasn’t just a memory in the
night. I wasn’t just a single dance beneath the evening sky. You were the
hunter, and you had shot me instantly through the heart. You knew what this
time spent thinking about what I had lost would build inside me. You knew when
you left me in the night that it would create something that would fight to get
back to you.
I thought about calling you, but I didn’t want to play your
game. This time, I wanted to lead the way. I wanted to show you what you had
done to me and make my heart known to you completely. I didn’t spend five
minutes with that number in my hand before I turned around to find the next
flight out.
My body pulsed the whole way. I couldn’t even feel a bit of
turbulence. I thought over and over about what I wanted to do and what I wanted
to say. Everything escaped me. There was nothing good enough. I couldn’t find
the words that my body wanted to express. I knew everything I wanted clearly,
with no way to figure out how to say it.
I knew this would be a big surprise, that I would finally
have the advantage.
What if I was being stupid?
No. This can’t be wrong. This is right. Everything is
telling me this is right, and if I don’t try, I have everything to lose.
I will never forget what happened next. I got my room back,
still freshly made from when I had just left. I thought I had you in my trap. I
thought I didn’t know what to say, but all I had to do was call you, and I
would think of the right things to say.
I picked up the phone. I dialed the number, and when you
spoke to me, it pierced me and froze me in such a way that I lost every
advantage. I thought you would hang up, not knowing who was on the line, but I
could see it: your wicked smile. With a laugh, you told me when and where to
meet you.
I didn’t get a word out, and I knew I had lost again.
This whole time, we had been playing a dangerous game, and
you had won completely.
I went to our spot, where the world seemed to have stood
still. Nothing could have prepared me for when I looked upon you again. Every
cliché of heart-pounding, heart-stopping, bad romance in every poorly written
book was true.
I didn’t want to be like every guy. I didn’t want to say the
things a thousand people had already said. I wanted you to know what I felt. I
wanted you to know what I saw when I looked upon you. I wanted you in my arms
forever as I woke up to bring coffee to your bed. I wanted you to know I didn’t
want to lead or follow, but to be by your side, facing every day with you.
Whatever was thrown our way, we would defeat it and merge our hearts together.
I didn’t need to say anything. You already knew. You already
knew I had never looked at anyone the same way I looked at you, that I had
never lost myself until I played your game.
Time stood still, and without words, you kissed me deeply,
pulling on my lips with your teeth. You revitalized me, giving life back to me.
I needed that. I needed you desperately, and you could tell.
You wasted no time today. No dancing in the moonlight under
the stars or talking the night away. You took me, leading me once more, but
this time we went somewhere you wouldn’t run away into the shadows of the
night. We went somewhere I would always be able to find you again if I ever
chose to do so.
This time was different. This time, we had a hunger for each
other. Those days apart were too much. I needed you, and you needed me. You
weren’t going to be gentle with me, and I knew I was going to leave marks on
your skin that told everyone to back off. You aren’t someone I want to share
with anyone. I want everyone to see what we do to each other. I want to be
yours. I want to be the one you choose because you are the one I chose.
I pulled your body into mine with a force that showed how
much I longed for you. You wore a black dress today with black heels that could
trample my heart, and I wouldn’t care. For how they made you look, I would take
any abuse you gave me.
My arms embraced you, stretching my big hands wide across
your upper and lower back. Pushing you up against the wall, my lips never left
your neck. With every breath and moan you took as my teeth nibbled your neck, I
felt your nails try to claw their way into my back. You ripped my shirt off,
buttons being thrown to different corners of the room. I hurriedly ripped yours
off in turn as well.
I needed to taste you. I needed to know for sure that what I
did to you was the same as what you did to me. With your back firmly pressed
against the wall, I picked you up, bringing my face level with you. Deeply, I
pressed my tongue against you, taking you into my lips. Your heels, still on,
dug into my back while your hands were on my head, pulling at my hair. Your
head leaned back as you looked up, your legs tightening and squeezing around my
head. My hand stretched firmly across your butt, squeezing you hard and pulling
you into my mouth as close as I could get.
I knew what I was doing. I knew what was coming. I had
experienced it with you before, and I knew even now it would be more. With my
tongue and lips swirling around you, I got what I had been searching for, and
you released into me while gasping for air. I had marks all over me from the
excited flailing of your heels.
Keeping you in my arms, I laid you down on your bed. You
wanted a taste of me and kissed me deeply with a passion even greater than
before. I needed you more, and you knew it. I didn’t give you more than a few
moments to taste my lips before I rested one leg on my shoulder and slid into
you. With one arm wrapped around the leg resting on me and the other arm firmly
grasping your neck, it was my turn to leave my marks on you.
I thrust into you deeply and hard, shaking your bed and your
body, turned on even more by watching how you moved with me. Your face was red
from my grasp, hard but trusting. Your eyes never looked away from mine. Your
smile never faded from your face. Your body moved with my motion, inviting me
in, and you gave me the most amazing song as you released into me once more.
You still wanted more. You wanted to taste me after I had
been painted with you. You wanted to make me sing and take control of this
dance. You wanted all of me in your mouth while you were down on your knees,
pleading with your eyes for me to push you farther, choking at the back of your
throat. My hands were on your head with a desperate grasp for you to take me
in. My eyes never left yours as you looked up at me.
There could be no confusion about how you made me feel or
what you were doing to me. I saw you completely, and in turn, you saw me too. I
released into you after a buildup that seemed to take every drop out of me.
With a smile, you met my lips with your own, pulling me in and scratching my
back with your nails, the same blood red as the marks you left on me.
The moon shining through your window cast a light on us that
felt like approval. I knew now where to find you, and this had been your plan
from the start.
