Twisted Game
Twisted game
What are we seeking? Do we know?
A Voice in the darkness? Someone, to help call us home.
Is it so much to ask for? Why should it be so hard?
It seems that people’s options just stretch on forever.
Why would they want to not stop searching when there is so much left to see?
It does not matter that you can move on after giving so much hope.
Take what you want and never give a damn about the other.
Why should their feelings count for anything?
Just like a twisted game. It is one and done.
Feelings of the past come flooding back. Does it matter that you carry that pain?
That it affects your actions and tears you up inside and bringing tears to your eyes
That you just want to know there is someone, someone who wants to be there for you.
The good times will come and go.
Moments of bliss that only help to intensify the pain you carry inside.
Thinking you are special because someone makes you feel that way.
Only to make it come and go in the blink of an eye.
From special to nothing, when you think you have found someone who sees you.
But in the end, it is just a twisted game.
