Day by Day

A new day begins and thoughts of something better
Not understanding how any of it works anymore
But waiting to see where it takes me this time
unsure what this day will bring but knowing I must face it

A whisper of Good morning echoes in my head
The words make my heart flutter as something starts
A smile inside as I find it hard to express on the outside
Thoughts as to what will come from this moment?

Lost in those thoughts before I can even begin to start my day
Finding the strength to pull myself up from where I Lie
Life is before me and I find the first steps of the day
Living life one moment at a time and day by day
