Open Door

When one door closes, it is said another opens
But what happens when you do not have the courage
When you cannot break free from the fears and take that step
A door may lay before you, but it is also into a place unknown

Those demons need to be pushed down you know
But how do you undo so much hurt and take a chance
The fear you feel makes you stand still
Even when hope and perhaps something better is so close

If left to your own devices fear will win every time
But with that hand of hope offered to you in return you just know
That open door before you as you reach out your hand
Deep down inside you can find the courage to take a step into the unknown
