What's Next

What's Next

What is next?, it is a question that I cannot help but ponder more and more now
Perhaps I had found a place in my life where I could just let it all wash over me
Maybe I had found a sense of peace born from just giving up and accepting my fate
Even lost in turmoil I had found a way to at times numb myself from the pain

Those other times I could not find a way to soothe my screaming soul
I would fall back into the words I feel inside of me and with those I find expression
That is why I came back to a place where I could share those words and find respite
But then as if by what I thought was fate, you came back and we reconnected.

It was as if a shroud had been lifted from the sun and it now shined down again
Mind racing with so many possibilities, but most importantly a sense of peace
But dreams were never meant for me, peace is a fleeting thing so quickly gone
Now I wonder if I should just go again and be forgotten like a whisper on the wind

What's next for me, only time will tell
