Well it's 2 am and I am smiling at last
Wondering when we will talk again and if things will ever be the same
Those bad thoughts were pushed to the back of my mind
The joy I feel is something real and sometimes so hard to recall

My head moves along to the music as I sit and reminisce
Images in my head that you helped provide bring so much back
The years lifted away as if nothing had ever gone wrong
Like a dream that I do not want to walk up from

A simple exchange that meant too much to me
Able to be myself once again and smile at the same time
Who knows how long this will last but deep inside I just wish
One day you could just find your way back home to me
