I Believe

Thoughts of the end swirled around in my mind
Dreaming of finding peace in both my heart and head
Thinking of better times, if they even were?
A path set and soon to be followed to its end

Poised and ready to take that first step from the world
And that last step into the darkness that awaited
Every piece fell into place as if was meant to be
My mind was made up as I now know that I believe in the way out
