Dear Diary

What? Is this place I find myself in now and all that surrounds me?
What are these feelings that have been awoken in me again?
How have I pulled myself from that place of light into the darkness?
And now have been willingly taken back into it again

Taken from that downward spiral that I thought would fix it all
This beautiful force of nature has me confused and yet smiling at the same time
Searching for even the smallest of moments to share and hope that it never ends
A dream that feels at times that it is slipping further and further away

My heart now feels like it has been put on trial and I know that I am guilty of so much
All my past faults and errors come back to haunt me once more as I relive them
Unable to escape the chaos in my mind at the thoughts of my deserved punishment
