Like the first rays of light from the new day you came into my life
My defenses awakening from their slumber and surrounding me
your carefree attitude and beauty so disarming as I came to know you
a sheer power like a force of nature taking down the walls I surrounded myself with

Never too much and always know what to say as you come closer
My heart was unable to fight against the fears that would keep me held back
Each moment that new dawn and the power it brings to a shrouded mind
So close that I felt I could almost reach out and touch this vision in my dreams

Seduced by your words, beauty and the magnificence of your soul
Now Those thoughts keep me warm from the cold and darkness of the night
Perhaps if I close my eyes for long enough I will feel them once again
That completeness that took me from the darkness into the light and beyond.
