My kingdom

In my Kingdom, I met a Princess who I could call my own
She grew in my heart and esteem until she became my Queen
The sun would always shine even when the rain had to fall
No matter would happened, I knew that it was all I could need

My Kingdom is where these dreams could be true
A place of mystical beliefs and a place to escape to
A place of rainbows and glorious love that shone bright and true
A land of hope and a place to understand that things could be better

This was a Kingdom of dreams that I knew I could escape into
A place that could shelter me from even the worst of storms
Now shrouded in darkness as the day has turned to night
My Kingdom now faded into the dying light and I wonder why?
