Sublime

The door swung open and as if in a dream I could see you step into the light
I could not tell at first if this was real or if I was lost in some crazy dream
The world seemed to bend to your every whim or at least it did in my heart
You were something that just found the right boxes to tick for me

To some perhaps you were not the beauty that I saw with my own eyes
But those people, they just could not see, refused to let their hearts believe
Never knowing where I stood, but I knew I needed so much more than I deserved
Like a force of nature, you arrived just like that and shook up my life

A presence that was more than the sum of her parts
A beautiful creation that came to me like the calling of my heart
That magical time that shaped so much inside and out
This sublime wonder that was once mine
