From a period of blood rose this place and the fallen within
A small beginning that just became more as it grew and grew

A place to honour those that came before and paid the ultimate sacrifice
From the battlefields both Foreign and home, this final resting place
Now given to those who believe in something more

From the time it came to be as it rose in 1864
Growing with each new time of conflict or freedom's call
