Find me

Perhaps there was a time that I cried out for help
Somewhere in the distant past where I felt I deserved it
That spark inside me that said you deserve love
The words echo around my mind as I ask you to find me

When something burned inside that made me feel I had worth
The urge to scream at the world that I am here so look at me
Wanting nothing more than someone to break the mask and see me
The hope in my heart fades and dies as I ask you to find me

How long ago now? does it even matter at this point?
My body and mind are too tired to care anymore as one day becomes the next
Any worth I may have had gone in my head and heart
The words ringing in my heart that it is getting boring now
