Eyes fixed on the time sitting here waiting on you

But the clock just does seem to want to march on
The seconds tick by as the world flows around me
That sense of restlessness that I am unable to shake
Thoughts and feelings a mess up inside my mind
Are you coming home to me or am I just lost wishfully in my head
The seconds just tick by as the world means nothing to me
My eyes growing heavier with each moment that goes by
is it the fear of loss or just the tiredness of hope just not playing fair
