Touched

You touched my mind even before I could stop to resist
You touched my soul and awoke the dreams I buried inside
You touched my heart and made me want to love again

Even across the distance that separated us, you were a guide in the darkness
That beacon seemed so true to me and I followed blindly
No fear that you would ever hurt me or lead me to places I did not want to be

A piece of me that was missing for so long and you fixed it
Love given and love received without thought or fear
The Mountain in the distance wants me to be free
