Too Far gone

A brief glimpse of what could have been
Like the sun in your eyes and not being able to see
The heat on your skin feels good but it merely hides the unseen
Opening myself up again and having it end the same

Not even sure if I should laugh or just cry
Wallow in pity or just try and hide
Experiences I should have learned from
But never seem to be able to learn how

A fool led by love and guided into sorrow
Not knowing if I am just pathetic or desperate for more
Should have listened to the voices in my head as they spoke to me
You are too far gone to be good for anyone
