Chasing time

The night has ended and with it, a new day comes
The world lit up before me like the sun on the ocean
I can choose to embrace the unknown that is before me with hope
Or I can choose to kind chasing time knowing It is always beyond reach

That beautiful dawn coming to me and I can see beautiful or the end of something
Choosing to accept what I cannot control and smile for what I had
Even when things were not perfect I had that shoulder to lean on
No matter how bad I could have felt. it is there again

The sun now rising to show the passage of time from night to day
I now can see it as the end of something or the beginning of something new
Stood here with so many memories good and bad and choices to follow
Chasing time once again and knowing that I can reach backwards just move on
