Staring up at the ceiling as those empty feelings comes over me again
The lights turned down but it would not matter for the darkness inside
it feels like it hurts to breathe as I think of you and the promises made
I had so little to offer you, but you gave so much to me in return

I felt so alive around you as if I were lost in space and floating free
Nothing around me seemed to matter, other than loving you
Two spirits that seemed to find solace in each other and connect like no other
Awakening that part of me that I had thought dead for so long

Feeding from each other as we found so much together
Passions sprang forth as I felt the power of dreams again
Just lost in this void that separated us and the possibilities of the future
Like two souls of fire that burned for each other and shined like a beacon
