When I sought I never found, that elusive feeling
Like chasing a mirage in the distance and never finding a home
Something so far and when you get there it has been taken and sold
When you learn all that glitters is now dull with rust

Wanting to close my eyes and bring it all back once again
Know that you could make it go away and never feel better
A ghost of a chance in the past now slipping away in my heart and mind
When I needed something, all I needed to do was think you

The power you held over me in my heart and mind
When the world was too much, you would shield my eyes from the horror
if it ever became too much and I needed to find that place so safe
All I would have to do is think of you and seek magic again
