Green
Green is the colour of the eyes I saw love
That captivating gaze that would hold me in place
That look would make my heart beat wildly in my chest

Green is the colour of the eyes that the monster had
Where rational thought would be cast to the wind
Where the goodness would be replaced with the need to attack

Green is the colour of the grass, not greener
A place that I believed would be better, only to be wrong
Another lesson that should be learned if not for this heart's desire
