Destination

A place I hoped we both wanted to be
In the distance from where we both dream
A destination that would end so much heartache

Something between us that could be measured in distance
But would be a meaningless number compared to the hurt
We have both felt to even glimpse that place

The simple acts that connect us are wonderful and heartfelt
The moments that threaten to tear the world down are not the same truth
The sense of darkness is now all around me as I wonder if that place is real.
