Blue

Blue is the colour of the ways things were before I met you
The feelings of sadness that I kept inside and never wanted to show
Those moments of retrospective that threatened to bring it all down

Blue was the colour of the coldness I felt all around me
The sense of never being able to find comfort regardless of how I tried
The moments that no matter how the sun did shine, I never felt less alone

Blue is the colour that now I feel when you show me how you care
The feeling of calm now replacing that of the sadness felt before
These moments show me that in a perfect world, things could be so good
