Power of words

Actions speak louder than words, this was spoken and understood
But I only had my words and the strengths and weaknesses I held inside
Words hold something to me and I have held them close to me

Words are often easy to dismiss or are far too often easily twisted
Too little and it can make you feel undervalued or unappreciated
Too much and it could seem like a show or too much

The communication we held was in so many ways
Mine through an expression of those words I hold inside
Those words that you helped inspire time after time

Yours through the expression of images and your faithful companionship
Those things I often struggled to understand in the beginning
But with time they came to mean so much to me
