Feelings Revealed

The truth was thrown to the wind and my feelings clearer
The feelings of anxiety threaten to overcome me
The silence falls between us and I know that is what is deserved

But then like some beautiful bird from the flames
You rise and hold out a hand to me and give me a reason to smile
Words are exchanged once more and my anxiety fades

The gap between now seemed as if it were nothing
The words inside me forming once more as you light up my world
My feelings revealed as yours are returned
