Inspirational feast

I feel lost at this feast before me
So much to see and so much to eat
The room is awash with colour and sound

People engaged in chatter and a joyous time
Feeling like I am alone in a room that is so strong
So much to take and I want none of it

Now you are gone, this means nothing to me
The light was taken from my life like a curtain being closed
Now I have all this around me that would once give me so much

This inspirational feast, just cannot inspire anymore
