Lost and Found

We all lose our way from time to time
Stumble from that path and do not know our way home
Heaven knows, I have done so and thought I could never find my way

Just going from the straight easy line that just made each day simple
The road becomes a slippery mess and you allow yourself to break away
Before you know it, gone are your comfortable surroundings

off the path, you have fallen and she is gone
Once you know the comfort and safety of not trying
Now you were lost and then found again

Letting go and offering your trust and faith to another
Never stopping to doubt that you have not found the way
Your heart did burst with the love that you found

Everyday like a festival celebrating life
She became your everything and you would not have wanted it any differently
Now she is gone and you are lost once more and scared to be without her
