Ignite

The flames of passion were set ablaze in me when you came into my life
From the place I had withdrawn into, you turned the gas and you lit the spark
The feeling exploded like the combination of gas and fire

All around me my senses came to life, the parts I thought of myself long dead
Awoken with a blast from the spark that you helped to ignite
Heart full and brimming with joy as each day was blessed with you

The creative mind awoken once more and from everything around me, I saw you
it all burned so brightly that I wish it would never end
But as with any passion set to flame, it can burn wildly and not be contained

The fears and factors that make up our pasts
Come to the fore and now it seems like it could not last
You fanned the flames until they burned out of control

Backed away and was scared now, as I do not know where to go
The power so bright, now a destructive force that threatens all
Ignite the forces of nature and let them burn so proud

Beware the forces of human nature inside us or let them destroy so well
