How Many

is there a limit to what we can feel
is there a time we just break against the despair
is our courage stronger than our common sense

How many new heartaches do we need to stumble away from
How many times are we going to tell ourselves, this time, this time will be different
How many times do we bask in the grasp of insanity as we look for love

Perhaps this would be the time for some words of encouragement
Perhaps something uplifting that tells you, this will all be better?
Perhaps there was a time that I could have lied to us both and done so

How many times do you have to feel lost
How many times do you stumble and fall
How many times is too many and you have nothing left
