Faded

In time all will be better and the past far behind
In time we will find that peace and move on
In time we march to the sound of a new drum

The failures of our past are just another thing in time
The love we had and failed to keep is now empowered by someone else
The wounds that once were so deep we thought we could not be

Faded into our memories as something better has taken them away
Faded like stone beset on all sides by the constant touch of sand
Faded as we learn from our past and know what is now before us is forever
