Empty rooms
Empty Room
The key slips into the lock and the door opens for me
The hallway beyond is nothing but a blank slate
A canvas that needs to be given love
A renewed vigor to my step as I walk with purpose through the door
The hallway gives way to another door which I know to be the living room
The space beyond is just as blank as the hall that lies behind
A new home, a new start with space to feel with things that represent us
Empty rooms to be completed with parts of ourselves
Just as your love has found and completed me
Soon this house will become our home
Then you will be with me and hearts will be consumed with joy
Those empty spaces will be empty no more and love will triumph as it should
