The engine roars into life as I feel the night around me
The road ahead is clear and nothing is going to stand in my way
The path is as clear as the night sky and I am heading home

The radio plays and I can feel the music speak to me
The past is behind me as I am driving into the future before me
The moon above me shone down to show me the way to go

Highway view in my rearview mirror, voices calling out but I have nothing for them
Highway view as I look at the future in front of me and the road carries on
Highway view as I feel the fast lane calling out to me

I can feel my head move to the beat of the song
Giving me thoughts of the love I am rushing home to find
Waiting for me and so much we both have to share

The thought of this made me press down on the pedal a little more
The sign-up ahead reads how many miles there are to go
The distance does not matter because I would travel as far as you need me too
