The silence would fill the room before we met
Those silence that I would hate the most
Time lost to inner voices and thoughts and nothing to fight
I could always find a way to plaster on a false smile
I could always find a way to force a quip or make people laugh
I could always hope for this and find a way to keep the silence at bay
An Angel or Devil falling from heaven or rising from the depth
You came into my life and awoke something in me
A reason to escape from the masquerade I would hide behind
With you, I found hope again
