Old Soul

Kavik, a name given to me by a friend from a long time ago, the wisdom of their words told me that even at that young age, I had a soul within me that seemed to look far beyond my years.

This soul that I truly did not understand at the time, do not know the meaning of what was said to me. but over time, it became clear to me. as I grew older I knew what they had meant when they gave me that name and called me an old soul.

Looking back now, those words were more profound than I gave them credit for at the time, the ignorance of a younger man who did not seem to know what was said and how the name was given was such an honour.

Back in the past and long gone, but these things seem to creep up on you when you least expect them, like a whisper in the wind that eases into your mind and you cannot help but smile at something from your past.

Has my physical age now reached the same age as my soul or will that continue to age and have the wisdom or a view of life that is different and beyond what I could understand when I was first told I have an old soul?
