What is ahead for us, only time will tell.
We have had the past and it has shaped us in some ways
We have learned from it, but are now learning to move on

Would you have been different? in my head, I would say yes
But in my heart, I would say that the answer would be no

Still the same woman that effortlessly stole my heart
Still, the same woman that took the suffering I clung to and set me free
I know I can never have the past but can live for a better future
