Fire inside

When I think of you, I feel the hunger burning inside of me
The growing sense of anticipation as so many emotions burn inside me
The feelings almost overwhelming at times, but not in a way that feels wrong

Just the thought of you making me smile, the action seeming alien for so long
But with you, it just comes to me and I could not fight it, even if I tried
You have created a spark within me and that has grown into something greater

The flicker turned into something far greater and what was inside of me
The presence in my life making me feel the emotions so long shut away
The words coming back to me and fuelling my love of the written word again

When I am with you, I feel the energy return again
When I am with you, I feel the strength inside me grow
When I am with you, I feel the fire inside once more
