Slipping away into the darkness
The step is taken and I feel like I am falling
My resolve is strong and trying to control the feeling

Around me are the voices of so many many
Everyone always thinks they know best and are quick to offer
Listening is never a bad thing, but we can take something but not everything

Like being caught in the flow of water, we have to struggle to find direction
But if we do not panic, if we keep our focus then we can find the safety we seek
The land is only a short distance away, so close you can reach out for it

ahead of me is the beach that she has told you about so many times
