If you Leave

The thoughts I cannot escape from
The shadows that hang against the wall created by you
if you leave, what would I do?

The light that you bring, drives back the nightmares
The world of peaceful sleep that I have learned again
If you leave, could I escape from the pull of the world again

Standing here and basking in the light
The darkness still not ready to give up the fight
If you leave would it overpower me and take it all away
