What does priority mean?
What does it mean to me?

Since the day I met you, I was hooked by your mind
Your carefree humour, your love of life and the way you could just make life brighter

Time moved at a pace and every day I knew I wanted to spend more time with you
For any reason, I could and for as long as you would have me

Slowly but surely I knew how special you were
Not perfect, .but whoever is, the imperfections just add to what I see

You are quick to laugh but not always easy to read
Your words put me in my place when I spoke wrong about myself

I know it is not easy to understand me at times, but you always give me space to be
Growing every day and giving me that spark to form the words inside of me

Priority to some can be described through a dictionary
But to me, priority is the word that means whatever you need

You have become the priority in my life
To make you smile and give you a reason to laugh

To give you the safety and warmth that you offer to me
