I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead

The song played on the radio at the desk he sat behind, his thoughts lost elsewhere, but the song was catchy and something that could be considered an earworm, .he felt his foot begin to tap against the ground as he listened to the words of the song as they poured forth from the radio's speaker.

Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb

He recalled first hearing this song in the movie Mystery men, one of those films that came and went and probably deserved more credit than it got, with a good cast of characters doing a fine job.

The song developed more of a cult following later on when he heard it again in one of those Shrek movies, after that it was a song you could not just escape, it was everywhere and as much as it probably did the band's bank balance all sorts of good, well too much success can often become a bitter pill to swallow.

it was amazing at some of the trivia that you came to learn when you went down the rabbit hole and actively searched for such things, Bands that you thought you liked were suddenly considered terrible by the internet community, that was funny, must have missed that meeting.
