Trail of light

Dancing through the sky, something unknown to my eyes
An explosion in my heart and soul as I watch them dance before me
Energy unknown and so enticing as it appears before me

The energy and life that seems to radiate above me
What is this? can it ever be explained?
The words are merely a metaphor for what I am feeling

Is it real or is it just a fevered dream
Time has been kind on this and I cling to that dream
I will close my eyes and thank my lucky stars that above me I see
