Darkness falls

The shadows form around me
Something that was not there before
The light that had been taken away now returned

The Darkness of pain and loss
The Darkness of giving up
The Darkness of no longer caring

Against that comes her light

A shining beacon against pain and loss
A shining beacon that drives me on
A shining beacon that shows I can care

She stands her ground against the darkness and protects me from it
She will not falter in her pursuit of my release
She will take what she learned and give it to me

Against the dark, she stands with her light and fate willing.
