Never enough time
Waking up late, when you know you needed to be there already
Letting out those words, you know do not need to be said.
Frustrations boil over as you fall out of bed.
Pushing the envelope even when you know you should not.
Rushing to get moving, even when you just want to give it up and go back to bed
Life throws up these moments and we never know when it is going to go right again.
The doors close as you reach the bottom of the stairs. 10 seconds more and you would have made it to where you had to be.
The train rolls away and you let out a sigh of frustration as life just seems to be passing you by, ten more minutes before the next train; you know today's time is not your friend.
Should have said goodbye, should have taken the time to show that you are the only one I ever would need.
Should have taken the time to let you know, putting what I need on hold to show you just how I love you.
Never enough time, no there never is
Never enough time, we should always take what we have
Never enough time, not taking for granted what you could so easily lose
The doors to the next train close as you step inside. So many people jammed into such a small place. How many do you wonder have the same regrets?
Never having taken the time to reach out and show them that they were all you ever needed.
Now you are all alone with no one to blame but yourself.
Wasting those moments when you should have given more of yourself to the one who makes you whole.
Never enough time, no there never is
Never enough time, we should always take what we have
Never enough time, not taking for granted what you could so easily lose
The doors open and you stumble from the train. Feet finding the platform but you just feel empty inside.
Walking like a ghost among the living, wanting you back and not knowing how to correct the things I have done wrong?
Is there ever a way back when you stray so far from the path that it hurts those that you love and love you?
What would you give for another chance, how much is ever enough to try to fix the sins of our past and feel alive again?
How much time would you give to take it all back and give what you should have always given to the one you love?
Time is never our friend, it moves so quickly when we want it to stop and then crawls when we need it to be done. The clock is forever moving and we cannot stop it. Just try and take the time to be better than we are and never take for granted what we most need, always taking the time to let them know they are the ones we want.
Never enough time, no there never is
Never enough time, we should always take what we have
Never enough time, not taking for granted what you could so easily lose.
