Fredrick Nietzsche was very poetic and inspiring but he was a bit of his rocker and dangerous to take too seriously.
Camus and Sartre were the French modern twist on existentialism but could leave you very empty but I think that was intentional.

The something something categorical imperative? I studied Kant briefly in college and I think that's the only thing I remember haha.

I don't have a "favorite", per se.
He was one of the great minds, in my opinion. You could group him in with Descartes, I guess. He may have been overly optimistic to some.
