When you make up your mind and say 'For all the right reasons' or 'For all the wrong reasons', what do those reasons mean?

What are they referring to?
Like, are you willing to abandon all logic and just do it anyway? Or are you doing it cause you feel it's what's right even if something feels wrong? Like, when someone uses those exact phrases when making a choice, do they feel forced to make the choice? On what argument? Right/wrong reasons according to who exactly?

In other words you’re not doing it to personally benefit if it’s all the right reasons.

You take care of your elderly parents for all the right reasons - you care for them, not because they are leaving their estate to you.

@NiftyWhite That's one way to look at it, I see. :) Thanks.
